Welcome to the web page for the classes offered by Dr. Charlie Beck. I am a US trained DO (Doctor of Osteopathy). I went to osteopathic medical school in Pikeville, KY, starting in 1999 and graduating in 2004 after completing an additional undergraduate fellowship year (an added year to learn more about osteopathic manipulation). I did my internship and residency in Indianapolis, IN and finished in 2007. I am board certified in a subset of Osteopathic Medicine that specializes in manual treatment of the body (using the hands) called Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine / Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. I have a certificate of proficiency in Cranial Osteopathy (focusing on the bones of the head and how they interconnect and influence the rest of the body). I am a Fellow in the American Academy of Osteopathy and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ozone Therapy. I am also a Certified Thermographer (taking infrared images of the body).
I have a passion for teaching and helping others learn more about how to treat the body and achieve optimum health. I teach based on principles and anatomy - just like Dr. Still did. I am not simply teaching techniques like 99% of the other instructors do - I teach you how to think with the feedback from your hands and problem solve with each and every patient.
