Basic ALF Adjusting (Dental Course)

This course is designed to reveal the connection between the teeth and the body and how to use feedback from the body to help adjust the teeth.  This is a continuation of the dental/body connection course that allows the osteopath to effectively communicate with the dentist to guide the adjustment of the ALF or other dental appliances.  What movement of each plane of motion does on each tooth will be addressed.  How movement of a single tooth appears in the body and how to utilize the cranium and body as a feedback mechanism to guide the appliance adjustment will also be explored.  This course is a biomechanical based course (as opposed to a traditional cranial membranous approach or a biodynamic approach).

This course allows the osteopath to better understand how to communicate with the dentist about what the patient's body needs to get a better team outcome.  It allows the dentist to understand the physical forces that they use when moving/cleaning teeth and how those forces influence/effect the body.  This gives the dentist the ability to understand what the osteopath is trying to accomplish with their treatments and assist by adjusting the teeth to help not only the patient’s mouth, but their entire body.
