How to Adjust Eyeglasses

Eyeglasses can generate some powerful cranial strains if they are not adjusted correctly.  This can lead to visual strain and its associated symptoms (headaches, brain fog, blurred vision, balance issues, etc.)  This course will cover how to diagnose and correct the cranial strains that can be influenced with eyeglass frame adjustment (lateral strains, vertical strains, torsions, and sidebending/rotation).  It will also include when to refer the patient for an updated prescription, how to communicate with optical professionals about what is needed, and the tools necessary to compete the adjustments.  This is a hands-on course and is a must have for osteopaths and dentists using any oral appliance.  Visual strains effect ALL parts of the body - they can not only give you headaches, but change your gait pattern, your bite (occlusion) and your posture!  The eyes are so powerful and vital to us that they have the “right of way” when competing with any other system (dental, postural, proprioceptive, etc.).  Understanding when the eyes may be contributing to strains can provide answers about why your patient is having problems and open the door for alleviating their symptoms.

This course is not just limited to physicians, and the content can be altered for nearly any group.
